Planned Giving

Continue your impact for generations to come

Leave a Lasting Legacy through Nueva Vida

There are many ways to support Nueva Vida beyond a traditional one-time donation.

For many supporters, planned giving is simply a way to ensure that the values they care about today continue shaping the future for years to come. Through a gift in a will, a charitable IRA distribution, or other planned giving options, you can help sustain education, therapy, and support for children and families impacted by disability in Santa María de Jesús.

Planned giving can also be a flexible way to support the causes you care about while considering your own family, financial goals, and future plans. Some gifts may provide tax advantages, while others allow you to continue using your assets during your lifetime.

Ways to Give

If you're 70½ and up, qualified charitable distributions from your IRA can reduce your taxable income while supporting Nueva Vida.

Benefits of QCD:
- Make a gift that is not subject to the deduction limits on charitable gifts
- Avoid taxes on transfers of up to $108,000 from your IRA to Nueva Vida
- Satisfy your required minimum distrbution (RMD) for the year

How a QCD works:
1. Contact your IRA custodian to request a gift from your IRA directly to Nueva Vida. If needed, please provide Nueva Vida's EIN which is 46-5002138.
2. Please ask your IRA custodian to include your name and address on the IRA distribution so your gift can be processed accurately.
3.Your IRA funds will be directly transferred to Nueva Vida to support the ministry of Nueva Vida.

If you have a donor-advised fund, you can make a grant from your DAF directly to Nueva Vida. A donor advised fund, which is like a charitable savings account, gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to Nueva Vida. You can recommend a grant or recurring grants now to make an immediate impact or use your funds as a tool for future gifts. Make the request to the entity managing your donor advised fund. DAFs often offer immediate tax benefits.

One of the simplest and most common forms of planned giving is including Nueva Vida in your will, trust, or beneficiary designations. This may include:

• Retirement accounts (IRA or 401k)
• Life insurance policies
• Brokerage or investment accounts
• Real estate or property
• Personal assets or financial accounts

These types of gifts allow you to continue using your assets during your lifetime while creating a lasting legacy for children and families at Nueva Vida.

Donating appreciated assets such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, securities, or cryptocurrency may provide tax advantages while helping support the work of Nueva Vida.
